Bio

While his first love and passion is contemporary fiction, Aaron Seaman actively reads and writes pulp science fiction and YA for fun, and has had two 10,000-word science fiction short stories published, #VAPORIZE and THE LAST (Bayonet Books, 2018).

He received his MFA in Creative Writing from SNHU and has two undergraduate degrees, a BA in History and a BA in General Studies which focused on political history.

Prior to writing, Aaron spent seven years in the United States Navy. After the military, he spent a decade exploring mountains from Alaska to California for the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management as a wildland firefighter, EMT, and communications specialist.

He is an avid climber, distance runner, and world traveler. He has been to the South Pole, the North Slope, and pretty much all the other lonely places in between.

He is also an active member of the LGBTQIA+ community who believes in radical inclusion, worker’s rights, full equity for all minorities, bodily autonomy, and an individual’s right to choose.

These values are non-negotiable for him.

He also acknowledges that he lives and works on the unceded, traditional land of the Coast Salish Peoples, specifically the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People. He is grateful and indebted to both the land and the Duwamish Tribe. Without them, he would have no home.

If these things bother you, he strongly suggests that you don’t hire him.
